1.0 Introduction
ScreenShow is part of the Kamyan Utilities package ( See separate document
kutils.doc for details about Kamyan Utilies).
ScreenShow is a Windows 3.0/3.1 screen saver which will play .fli and .flc
animation files as well as display .bmp, .rle and .dib files. The flics
and image files can be combined into a script file which allows fade,
looping, speed control and other control parameters. ScreenShow also
includes Password and autoload features. Full documentation is available
on-line under the help menu.

6.0 Important Notes
6.1 Animation files
The .fli files are animation files which are generated in Autodesk Animator
software. In addition these animation files can be found on many BBS's.
The .flc files are animation files which are generated in Autodesk Animator Pro
software. This software is fairly new but these files should start appearing
on BBS's.
6.2. Use of Autodesk's Animation Player for Windows
ScreenShow makes use of Autodesk's animation player for Windows DLL to display
all animations. In addition this DLL is used to show the dialog boxes for
animation file selection and the script editing dialog box.
6.3. Animation speed and Hard Disk Cache
The Autodesk animation player supports reading the entire animation file
into memory before starting to play the animation. ScreenShow does not
use this option by default, we have found that the best preformance is
achieved by letting your hard disk cache software cache the animation.
So for most users this default should give the best results. However,
for the users who want to use the memory load option create a script
file for the animation file specify the memory load option.
6.4. Animation Display Defaults
When using single animation files in order to change some of the defaults
assumed by ScreenShow create a script file for this animation. All defaults
can be overwritten in a script file.
6.5. Location of aaplay.dll and aavga.dll
These files can be located in the same directory as ScreenShow. However,
if you have other Windows software which use these DLL they can be placed
in the windows\system\ directory.
6.6. SOUND!!
The Autodesk animation player supports sound in Windows with multimedia
extensions and the proper sound hardware. This has not been tested,
I would like to know if it works properly within ScreenShow.
